"Listen" by Laurie Halse Anderson

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson is a powerful book. It's for anyone who's ever been hurt, and who hasn't really. I listened to it on my headphones, and was absolutely gone into Melinda's world, feeling her pain, accepting my own. It's important. It's a very important book. And if you haven't read it, you should.
I want to encourage you to write your own poems, anonymously or not, "speaking" up about the things that you need to get off your chest. Sometimes just saying it can be the first step towards healing and freedom. If you want to, you can leave a comment, a poem or maybe just a word.
