Newes from the Dead by Mary Hooper

In Newes from the Dead, Mary Hooper resurrects the haunting, true story of Anne Green. Charged with a crime she didn't commit, Anne is hung and then sent to a medical dissection table for studying. While on the table, however, a young medical student has the strange feeling that she isn't quite dead yet.
This is a quick, hard to put down read. While she's lying on the dissection table, Anne recounts to us the story which got her there in the first place. It's a rare story that truly brings history to life through emotions, love, hate, fear, and horror. I haven't been able to get out of AD 1650 since I put the book down, my imagination keeps wandering there and trying to understand the amazing concept of history, lives that lived before me and all the stories that are out there to hear and tell.
